Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers, has advocated for reducing "cognitive offloading" in younger students. According to Weingarten, while older students must be digitally prepared and taught how to use AI, younger students need to learn how to think—a process she argues requires fewer screens and less reliance on AI assistance.
Institutional Skepticism
