Riemann Computing Claims LonScript Outperforms Python by 1,434x for AI

The new language aims to accelerate AGI development via the decentralized OpenPeer AI platform.

TechNewsReel Newsroom · August 4, 2026

Riemann Computing has introduced LonScript, a new programming language designed to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence and advance the pursuit of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The company is positioning the language as a high-performance alternative to industry standards to reduce the computational bottlenecks associated with complex AI workloads.

According to company promotional materials, LonScript demonstrates extreme performance gains across 15 benchmark tests. Riemann Computing claims the language is over 1,434 times faster than Python, 25 times faster than Julia, 23 times faster than C, and 22 times faster than C++. These figures are central to the company's effort to optimize the speed at which AI models are trained and executed.

Integration into OpenPeer AI

LonScript serves as a core component of OpenPeer AI, a decentralized and open-source AI platform also developed by Riemann Computing. To create a scalable, distributed computing model, OpenPeer AI integrates LonScript alongside the Mojo programming language and the BOINC framework. This architecture is intended to distribute large AI workloads across a decentralized network rather than relying on traditional centralized clusters.

Riemann Computing, which was founded in 2018 and previously operated as Stark Drones Corporation, has shifted its focus from compute modules and CubeSats toward disruptive infrastructure and AI technologies. In addition to LonScript, the company is currently developing other specialized languages, including NaScript and ScrubScript.

Industry Implications

If these performance claims are verified, LonScript could significantly alter AI infrastructure by drastically reducing the time and energy required to run large-scale models. By pairing this speed with a decentralized framework, Riemann Computing aims to democratize AI development, potentially lowering the barrier to entry for developers who lack access to high-cost, centralized compute resources.

Future Outlook

While the company has released these benchmarks via its official channels, the 1,434x performance increase over Python remains a company assertion and has not yet been independently verified by a third-party technical audit. Observers will be watching for independent peer reviews of the language's efficiency and the broader adoption of the OpenPeer AI ecosystem to determine if LonScript can deliver on its promise of a leap toward AGI.
