Verdant Robotics has launched the SharpShooter, an AI-driven smart implement designed to automate weed control with millimeter-level accuracy. The system attaches directly to tractors, allowing growers to replace broad chemical applications and manual labor with targeted, machine-led precision.
At the core of the system is proprietary Spatial AI and machine learning, which enables the implement to distinguish between crops and weeds in real time. This intelligence powers the "Bullseye Aim & Apply Technology," which delivers between 120 and 480 shots per second. According to company data, 99% of these applications land within 5 mm of the intended target. The efficiency gains are substantial: the system can reduce chemical inputs by 96% to 99% and lower hand-weeding labor costs by an average of 65% to 85%.

This occurs when broadcast herbicides cannot be applied until crops develop true leaves, as premature spraying can damage young plants.
