Raspberry Pi has introduced a dedicated Programming Jig for the Compute Module 5 (CM5) to simplify the batch provisioning of its industrial-grade hardware. The tool is designed to accelerate the deployment of modules in commercial environments by streamlining how operating systems and security configurations are flashed to the hardware.

The new system utilizes a single-head provisioning design that allows users to insert a CM5 into a module bay and press a mechanical clamp to initiate the programming process. According to Raspberry Pi, the jig includes Ethernet ports for both the jig itself and the device under test (DUT), along with a USB port dedicated to updating the jig's internal software. This "clamp, flash, repeat" workflow is intended to replace more cumbersome manual setups.

The Compute Module 5 is a system-on-module (SoM) version of the Raspberry Pi 5, specifically engineered for industrial and commercial applications such as process automation and digital signage.
