AI Models Forecast XRP Break Below $1 Ahead of Senate Vote

ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini predict a slide toward $0.55–$0.80 as institutional inflows plummet and the CLARITY Act looms.

XRP is fighting to maintain its position at $1.01, a critical psychological support level for investors. The asset's ability to hold this floor is now the primary focus of market analysts and automated forecasting tools as regulatory uncertainty looms.

In a study conducted by 24/7 Wall St., three prominent AI models—ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini—were consulted to predict where XRP will bottom out if current support fails. The models generally expect the $1 threshold to break, though their specific targets vary. Claude provided the most optimistic floor at $0.80, followed by ChatGPT at $0.78, while Gemini predicted a deeper slide to $0.55. The probability of XRP falling below $1 by the end of September is viewed as high, with ChatGPT and Gemini assigning a 75% likelihood and Claude estimating a 65% chance.

On-Chain and Institutional Decline

This bearish sentiment is supported by a cooling of both institutional interest and network activity. For the week ending August 8, weekly inflows into XRP ETFs plummeted by 93%, dropping to $1.01 million. Despite this sharp decline in new capital, net assets in these ETFs remain significant at $964 million, which some analysts suggest could provide a cushion against a total collapse.

Network fundamentals are also showing signs of strain. Data from the XRP Ledger reveals that daily active addresses fell 23.2% during the first half of the year, sliding from 19,927 to 15,302. This decline in active participation suggests a waning of organic momentum as the market awaits a definitive catalyst.

The Regulatory Catalyst

For XRP, price action has become a direct proxy for the status of U.S. regulatory clarity. The market is now laser-focused on September 15, 2026, when the U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote on the CLARITY Act. This legislative event is widely regarded as the final major catalyst for the remainder of the year.

Historically, XRP has suffered from prolonged periods of stagnation, once spending over 1,000 days trading below the $1 mark after a break. While the current presence of ETFs creates a different market structure than in previous cycles, the outcome of the Senate vote remains the deciding factor. A successful passage of the Act is expected to revitalize institutional investment, whereas a failure could leave the asset vulnerable to the lower price targets predicted by the AI models.

What to Watch

Investors are now monitoring the $1.01 support level for any signs of a definitive break. While the AI models suggest a downward trajectory, the actual bottom will likely be determined by the legislative results on September 15. Until then, the tension between dwindling network activity and the potential for regulatory breakthrough will continue to drive volatility.
