Capital B has aggressively expanded its digital asset holdings through a series of strategic capital raises, cementing its role as Europe's first dedicated Bitcoin treasury company. The French firm, listed on Euronext Growth Paris, is utilizing equity markets to fund the systematic accumulation of BTC.

In a significant push to grow its balance sheet, Capital B raised €21 million through a private placement involving TOBAM and Adam Back, the CEO of Blockstream. This funding round was designed to acquire an additional 270 BTC, bringing the company's total holdings to approximately 3,415 BTC. Following this, the firm secured further investment in a separate private placement where Adam Back invested €7.6 million ($8.8 million). This subsequent investment was executed at a 15.4% premium to the September 1 closing price, with the goal of adding another 376 BTC to the treasury for a total stack of 3,521 BTC.

A Shift to Bitcoin-First

This expansion marks a fundamental pivot for the organization, which previously operated as The Blockchain Group. The company is now transitioning to a "Bitcoin-first" treasury model, a strategy focused on increasing the amount of BTC held per fully diluted share. While the firm continues to maintain subsidiaries focused on data intelligence, AI, and decentralized technologies, the core financial strategy has shifted toward digital asset accumulation. As part of its broader growth trajectory, Capital B is also expanding its operational footprint into Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Institutional Validation

Capital B's strategy closely mirrors the corporate treasury model popularized by MicroStrategy in the United States. By leveraging its position as a public company to raise capital for Bitcoin purchases, Capital B is demonstrating a growing institutional appetite for corporate-led digital asset strategies within the European market. The participation of high-profile industry figures like Adam Back provides significant validation for this approach, signaling that sophisticated actors view the use of equity markets as a viable vehicle for BTC accumulation.

Market Outlook

As Capital B continues to execute its treasury expansion, the market will be watching how the firm manages the volatility of its primary asset relative to its equity valuation on the Euronext Growth Paris. While the company has successfully attracted institutional capital, the long-term sustainability of the model depends on its ability to maintain a positive relationship between its share price and its BTC-per-share metric. Further updates on the firm's total holdings and future funding rounds remain the primary indicators of the strategy's momentum.
