Taktile Raises $110M to Scale Agentic AI Decisioning for Fintech

The startup is moving beyond chatbots to automate high-stakes financial workflows like underwriting and AML compliance.

Taktile is scaling its Agentic Decision Platform to automate mission-critical financial workflows, moving the industry toward real-time, auditable AI decisioning. The company recently secured $110 million in Series C funding to accelerate its global expansion and product development.

The funding round, led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives on June 24, 2026, brings Taktile's total funding to $184 million. The platform is designed to handle high-stakes operations—specifically underwriting, anti-money laundering (AML), and claims processing—by interpreting complex policies and rendering decisions that remain compliant with strict regulatory standards.

The Shift to Agentic Systems

Founded in 2020 by Maik Taro Wehmeyer and Maximilian Eber, Taktile operates within the infrastructure layer of fintech. Unlike generic AI chatbots, Taktile's "agentic" approach allows the system to act as a decision-making engine for risk, credit, and fraud teams. To power these decisions, the company has built an ecosystem of integrations with data providers, including Inscribe and OpenSanctions, to feed real-time signals directly into its engine.

According to the company, the impact on operational efficiency is significant. Taktile reports achieving 95% automation in B2B underwriting and a 75% reduction in AML false positives for its clients. In one instance, a major global insurer projects that using the platform for claims processing will yield cost efficiencies exceeding $90 million.

Why Auditable AI Matters

For regulated financial institutions, the primary barrier to AI adoption has been the "black box" nature of many models. The shift to agentic AI allows banks and insurers to automate complex decisions that previously required manual human review without sacrificing oversight. By ensuring every output is auditable, Taktile enables these firms to scale their operations and reduce overhead without a corresponding increase in headcount.

"The challenge now is making every AI-driven decision controlled, auditable, and ready for the most regulated industry in the world," said Maik Taro Wehmeyer, Co-Founder and CEO of Taktile. "That’s what we’re building at Taktile."

The Road Ahead

As Taktile deploys its new capital, the industry will be watching how agentic systems handle increasingly complex regulatory environments. While the company has demonstrated success in B2B underwriting and AML, the next phase of growth will likely depend on the depth of its data partner ecosystem and its ability to maintain high automation rates as it expands into new global markets.
