BYD’s luxury electric sedan, the Yangwang U7, has demonstrated high battery resilience during a rigorous endurance test. The vehicle recorded a capacity dip of only 1.3% after covering 30,000 km, signaling strong longevity for the brand's high-end power systems.

According to data from the test, the battery maintained a retention rate of 98.7% despite extreme operational stress. The trial was designed to push the hardware to its limits, subjecting the vehicle to more than 350 flash charging cycles. This intensive process was completed in a remarkably short window of approximately nine days—specifically 8 days, 19 hours, and 58 minutes.

The Push for Ultra-Fast Charging

The Yangwang U7 serves as the flagship luxury sedan for BYD, intended to showcase the company's most sophisticated battery and charging architectures. In the luxury EV segment, the ability to support "flash charging"—ultra-fast power delivery—is a primary competitive benchmark.
