The deal aims to deploy Europe's first Starlink Mobile direct-to-cell services across Hungary and the Western Balkan states while establishing secure communication layers for national defense.
Signed in Bastrop, Texas, by 4iG Group Chairman and CEO Gellért Jászai and SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell, the agreement focuses on two primary pillars. The commercial side integrates SpaceX's satellite-to-mobile network into existing regional terrestrial infrastructure to eliminate cellular dead zones. Technically, this involves a 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) development roadmap designed to create a 3GPP-compliant service leveraging SpaceX's global 2 GHz spectrum rights.

Parallel to the consumer rollout, the partnership introduces 'Sovereign Solutions.' This military-grade component focuses on the development of end-to-end encryption-enabled satellite communications.
