Apple is launching a new feature called iPhone Handoff with the release of iOS 27 on Monday, September 14. The update allows two separate iPhones to share a single phone number, enabling users to switch seamlessly between devices without managing multiple identities.

Announced during the company's "Surprise and Shine" event on September 9, iPhone Handoff leverages eSIM technology to synchronize a user's mobile identity across multiple handsets.
