Apple Staggers 2026 Rollout: iPhone Duo and AI Health Tools to Arrive Late

The primary wave begins September 14 with the release of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, WatchOS 27, TVOS 27, and VisionOS 27, alongside MacOS 27 Golden Gate. Hardware arrivals follow closely; preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max open September 13 at 5 a.m. PT, with devices arriving September 18. The Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 are also scheduled to arrive starting September 18.
The Foldable Shift
While the Pro iPhones lead the charge, Apple's first foldable entry, the iPhone Duo, will arrive later in the autumn. Preorders for the Duo are set to begin October 16, with shipments starting October 23. The iPhone Duo will support the Apple Pencil on both of its displays later this year, though the Apple Pencil Pro is explicitly excluded from this support.
AI and Health Expansion
Software capabilities will continue to evolve beyond the initial September launch. Siri AI is scheduled to expand its linguistic reach in October, adding support for Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, and French.
More advanced integrations are slated for the end of the year. A redesigned Health app, which will introduce personalized guidance and a "Health Age" metric, is expected in late 2026. Similarly, the Apple Watch will receive "Live Rewind" and "Siri Recap" features, though these are currently listed as available in beta for late 2026.
