Ecovacs launched the Deebot X12S OmniCyclone in the U.S. on August 28, 2026, shifting the focus of robot vacuums from basic cleanliness to home health. The flagship device introduces a specialized sealed carpet chamber designed to aggressively target dust mites and allergens.

According to SGS-certified testing, the X12S removes an average of 97.44% of dust mite allergens and 95.45% of dust mites from carpets. To achieve this, Ecovacs utilized a sealed chamber that pushes deep into the carpet pile rather than riding along the surface. The hardware is powered by a rated suction of 27,000 Pa and 53 air watts (AW) of suction power. Beyond the vacuuming hardware, the unit is equipped with the YIKO 3.0 AI assistant, OZMO Roller 3.0 mopping, FocusJet stain treatment, TruEdge 3.0, and ZeroTangle 4.0.

Maintenance and Design Evolution

The X12S serves as an iterative upgrade to the X12 platform released earlier in 2026. While the previous model established the foundation, the OmniCyclone differentiates itself through maintenance efficiency and a refreshed aesthetic, featuring a silver-gray brushed-metal exterior. A key addition is the bagless base station, which reduces the recurring cost and waste associated with disposable dust bags.

One of the most significant technical additions is the "BLAST" airflow system. This system is designed to dry the robot's onboard dustbin and internal air path after a cleaning cycle is complete. By actively removing moisture from the internal components, Ecovacs aims to prevent the buildup of wet debris, which frequently leads to clogs and unpleasant odors in high-end robot vacuums.
