Google Pixel 11 Closes Battery Gap With iPhone and Samsung Rivals

Google has significantly improved the endurance of its latest flagship, with the Pixel 11 now matching the battery performance of key competitors like the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S26. This shift marks a critical turning point for the Pixel series, which has historically struggled to maintain parity with other top-tier smartphones.
According to testing conducted by GSMArena, the Pixel 11 achieved an Active Use Score of 15:40h, a substantial leap over the Pixel 10's 12:08h. GSMArena noted that with this score, the Pixel 11 "left its predecessor in the dust." Remarkably, these gains were achieved without a significant increase in hardware size; the Pixel 11 features a 4,985mAh battery, which is nearly identical to the 4,970mAh capacity found in the Pixel 10.
The Efficiency Push
The improvement is largely attributed to the Tensor G6 chipset and the integration of an IMG CXTP-48-1536 GPU from Imagination. The Pixel 10 was the first generation to utilize TSMC-fabbed Tensor chips, but it was plagued by "teething issues" regarding power consumption. Rather than simply adding a larger battery, Google focused on hardware optimization for the Pixel 11 to rectify these efficiency flaws. While power efficiency has improved during video playback and gaming, the device is still not recommended for heavy gamers due to the raw performance limitations of the GPU.
Charging and Power Delivery
On the charging front, the Pixel 11 is rated for 30W wired charging and has seen an increase in wireless charging speeds to 25W. In practical terms, a full wired charge takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. GSMArena reported that while the device includes a new "Extreme" wired charging mode that is faster than the Pixel 10, the mode does not entirely live up to its name in terms of speed.

By aligning its endurance with Apple and Samsung, Google removes one of the most significant barriers for power users considering the Pixel as their primary device.
