iQOO 16 Debuts World's First 2K 165Hz OLED Display

iQOO has announced the iQOO 16, the first smartphone to combine a 2K resolution OLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate. The device marks a significant leap in mobile display specifications, targeting the high-end gaming and enthusiast market.
The new display features a WQHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. To achieve these specifications, iQOO co-developed the panel with Samsung Display, utilizing a dedicated production line specifically for the flagship series. The hardware integrates Samsung's latest M16 luminescent material and LEAD 2.0 architecture, bringing cutting-edge OLED technology to the Android ecosystem. According to technical specifications, the screen reaches a global peak brightness of 2,800 nits, while local peak brightness can hit 10,000 nits.

This launch is the result of an ongoing strategic partnership between iQOO and Samsung Display. The company previously introduced the original LEAD OLED panel with the iQOO 15, but the iQOO 16 represents a deeper integration.
