iQOO launched the Z11 mid-range smartphone and iQOO Buds in India on August 20, 2026. The release marks the Indian debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, positioning the device as a high-performance tool specifically for the student demographic.

The iQOO Z11 features a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Internally, the device offers configurations up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. To support heavy academic and entertainment usage, iQOO integrated a massive 7,050mAh battery that supports 44W wired fast charging. The camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera.

Mid-Range Design and Utility

The Z11 signals a strategic return to curved displays within the mid-range segment. Beyond the hardware, iQOO is emphasizing software utility for its target audience. The Z11 includes "AI Creation" and "AI Captions" features, providing unlimited AI credits for students to assist with academic productivity. To ensure longevity in campus environments, the device carries a MIL-STD-810H certification for enhanced durability.

Market Positioning

This launch challenges the mid-range landscape by packing a 7,050mAh battery into a slim 7.9mm chassis. By combining this capacity with the Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, iQOO aims to eliminate battery anxiety during long campus days. The pricing strategy reflects this ambition, with the Z11 starting at INR 34,999 for the 6GB/128GB model and reaching INR 49,999 for the top-tier 12GB/256GB variant.

Ecosystem Expansion

Alongside the smartphone, iQOO introduced the iQOO Buds, priced at INR 1,899. These TWS earbuds feature 10mm drivers and utilize Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity. They are designed for longevity, offering up to 50 hours of total battery life when used with the charging case.

Industry observers will now monitor whether the Dimensity 7500 Turbo becomes a standard for other mid-range manufacturers in India and how competitors respond to the Z11's aggressive battery specifications. The combination of high-capacity power and AI-integrated software suggests a shift toward more specialized, utility-driven mid-range devices rather than generic hardware upgrades.
