Samsung Galaxy S26 FE India pricing leaks ahead of Sept. 18 launch
Leaked documents reveal the 'Fan Edition' flagship will start at INR 69,999 in one of Samsung's most competitive markets.
Samsung is preparing to bring the Galaxy S26 FE to the Indian market on September 18, according to leaked pricing details. The move follows a staggered global rollout that began in select markets on September 4.
The pricing details surfaced via an official document obtained by tipster Abhishek Yadav. According to the leak, the base model featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will be priced at INR 69,999. For users requiring more space, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is listed at INR 79,999.
Hardware and Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 FE is powered by the 3nm Exynos 2500 chipset. The device ships with One UI 9.0 based on Android 17, ensuring the latest software experience at launch. On the hardware front, Samsung has equipped the device with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, designed to provide the fluid visuals expected of a flagship-tier device.
To support its performance, the phone includes a 4,900mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. The device also introduces 'My FanCam,' a feature previously reserved for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Fold 8, further bridging the gap between the Fan Edition and the ultra-premium foldable lineup.
Market Positioning
India represents one of Samsung's most critical battlegrounds for premium smartphones. The FE series is strategically positioned as an accessible flagship, designed to fill the void between the mid-range A-series and the top-tier S-series. By pricing the device between INR 60,000 and 80,000, Samsung is directly targeting the 'flagship killer' segment, where consumers seek high-end specifications without the full cost of a primary S-series model.
What to Watch
While the core pricing and hardware specifications have been leaked, Samsung has yet to officially confirm the final Indian SKU lineup. Industry observers are watching to see if the highest capacity models will be available at launch or if the initial rollout will be limited to the 128GB and 256GB variants. Official confirmation of the launch event and pre-order availability is expected as the September 18 sale date approaches.
