The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is marketed as a powerhouse for media consumption, but a significant design flaw in its audio system breaks the immersion. While the device offers a massive screen for cinema-style viewing, its speaker placement fails to deliver a balanced stereo experience.

Both of the device's stereo speakers are positioned on the left side of the chassis when the phone is unfolded. This configuration means that regardless of where the action is happening on the screen, the audio originates from a single side. Because the speakers are on the top and bottom edges but both shifted to the left, all audio comes from one side of the device.

The Design Conflict
