Capcom reveals Arjun, a wind-and-earth manipulating brawler, for Street Fighter 6
The former Indian police officer joins the Season 4 roster on October 13, 2026, bringing a unique 'Bare-knuckle Yoga' style.
Capcom has unveiled a gameplay trailer for Arjun, a new Indian fighter joining the Street Fighter 6 roster on October 13, 2026. The character arrives as the second addition to the Season 4 character pass, following the release of Yasmine.
Arjun is a large-frame combatant, comparable in size to Marisa, who utilizes a highly unconventional fighting style. According to gameplay details from EventHubs and Eurogamer, his approach combines "Bare-knuckle Yoga" with the ability to manipulate wind and earth. This allows him to control the battlefield by creating wind gusts and air geysers. Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama told EventHubs that Arjun is a unique character who will feel different from the rest of the cast, noting that his gameplay incorporates a dancing element inspired by Bollywood choreography.
A Fugitive's Journey
Arjun's narrative centers on a tragic fall from grace. He is a former Indian police officer who has been forced into hiding after being framed for the murder of a colleague. This background as a fugitive on the run adds a layer of desperation to his persona, contrasting with the disciplined nature of his yoga-based combat.
Expanding the Global Roster
The introduction of Arjun highlights Capcom's strategy to diversify the Street Fighter 6 roster through both mechanical variety and cultural representation. By integrating specific Indian cultural elements—ranging from traditional yoga to the cinematic flair of Bollywood—Capcom is expanding the game's global appeal. This move comes during a period of strong momentum for the publisher, which recently released Resident Evil: Requiem in February 2026.
The Road to 2027
Arjun is one of several high-profile additions planned for the Season 4 rollout. Capcom has confirmed that the roster will continue to expand with the inclusion of Bosch, a returning story mode character, and Tifa from Final Fantasy 7. While Arjun brings a new elemental approach to the game's physics, the upcoming arrivals of Tifa and Bosch are expected to further shift the competitive meta as the season progresses.
