According to Sweeney, prices for these components have quadrupled in some instances because AI companies, investing heavily in data centers, are simply outbidding the entire entertainment industry for the same hardware. Similarly, Bit Reactor furloughed approximately 80% of its staff prior to the launch of Star Wars: Zero Company, illustrating that even projects with high profiles are not immune to the broader economic squeeze.
