Newton emphasized the influence of the community, stating, "I think that's not up to me, and it's up to the fans at the end of the day." She cited the history of reboots and sequels returning after significant gaps as evidence that fan passion can override studio hesitation. "I trust their power, and if they want something, they will have it," Newton added, noting that such a project could potentially take decades to happen.

A Complicated Legacy

Both Paul Rudd and Kathryn Newton are confirmed to appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, ensuring that Scott and Cassie Lang remain visible to the public. According to The Direct, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has described Scott Lang's role in the upcoming Avengers film as that of an "elder statesman."

This continued presence in ensemble films keeps the door open for a solo return, even as the Multiverse Saga shifts its primary focus from Kang to Doctor Doom. Whether Marvel Studios will pivot back to a solo Ant-Man venture depends on whether the commercial risk is outweighed by a demonstrable, loud demand from the global fanbase.
