Neowiz has released Lies of P: Complete Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing one of the genre's most praised titles to the handheld console. The launch expands the game's reach, offering a definitive package of the dark fantasy action-RPG.

Released on August 5, 2026, the Complete Edition bundles the original base game with the Overture expansion. This prequel focuses on the narrative events leading up to the Puppet Frenzy massacre, providing deeper lore for the plague-ridden city of Krat. While the Overture expansion previously debuted on June 6, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, this release marks its first appearance on Nintendo hardware.

A Shift in Accessibility

Beyond the story content, the Complete Edition integrates quality-of-life updates and a revamped approach to difficulty. The game now features three distinct difficulty modes to accommodate a wider range of skill levels: Butterfly’s Guidance for those seeking a very easy experience, Awakened Puppet for an easy challenge, and Legendary Stalker, which serves as the standard experience.

For veteran players, Neowiz included high-difficulty challenges introduced in a free update alongside the Overture expansion. These include 'Battle Memories,' which allows players to engage in boss rematches, and 'Death March,' a dedicated Boss Rush mode designed to test the limits of combat proficiency.

Industry Implications

The arrival of such a high-fidelity Soulslike on the Nintendo Switch 2 serves as a technical benchmark, demonstrating the console's ability to handle demanding, high-performance action-RPGs. More importantly, the inclusion of varied difficulty settings represents a philosophical shift within the Soulslike genre. By moving away from a singular, punishing difficulty curve, the developers are attempting to broaden the appeal of the genre to casual players without compromising the core mechanical depth that defines the experience.

Looking Ahead

With the Complete Edition now available, the focus shifts to how the broader community responds to the accessibility options on a handheld platform. While the core content is now fully delivered, players will be watching to see if Neowiz continues to support the title with further updates or if this definitive release concludes the game's development cycle.
