Even the budget-oriented Steam Deck has not been spared; Valve has raised its price by up to $300, establishing a new minimum entry price of $789.
The Root of the Shortage
Handheld gaming PCs have transitioned from the indie-focused value proposition of the original Steam Deck to high-performance machines utilizing advanced silicon like Intel's Panther Lake and the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme. However, this evolution has coincided with a critical supply chain failure.
