The development team behind the Calamity Mod, one of the most expansive community projects for Terraria, has ceased all work on the project. The shutdown comes after nearly a decade of development, ending the lifecycle of a mod that fundamentally reshaped the experience for millions of players.

The decision follows severe allegations of sexual misconduct and grooming against the project's current lead developer, Ozzatron. Reports indicate Ozzatron was accused of inappropriate interactions with minors on Discord. This is not the first instance of leadership turmoil for the project; the mod's previous leader, Fabsol, was removed in 2022 following similar misconduct allegations.

Launched around 2016, the Calamity Mod functioned as a massive unofficial expansion for the 2011 crafting title.
