Ubisoft Grants Free PC Copies to Xbox Owners in Expanded Partnership

Ubisoft and Microsoft announced July 27 an expanded partnership that gives Xbox console owners free PC versions of 13 Ubisoft titles through Ubisoft Connect, bridging the two platforms in a significant cross-platform move.
How It Works
Players who own digital Xbox console versions of eligible games receive their PC counterparts through a progressive rollout ending August 4, 2026. New digital purchases of listed titles immediately include both Xbox and PC versions. The offer runs one-way only: Xbox owners get PC versions, but PC owners do not receive Xbox console copies.
Games appear in the user's Ubisoft Connect library once accounts are linked. Players must update Ubisoft Connect to the newest version to ensure titles are available.
Eligible Titles
The 13 games covered by the offer span Ubisoft's major franchises: Assassin's Creed Mirage, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Riders Republic, Skull and Bones, The Crew 2, The Crew Motorfest, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs Legion.
DLC and Premium Content
Premium editions and add-on content for various Ubisoft titles, including Assassin's Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws, are now available for purchase on the Xbox PC app. Existing Xbox owners' DLC and Season Passes transfer to the PC version at no extra cost, except consumables and in-game currency.
Strategic Context
The initiative follows Microsoft's July 22 announcement bringing original Xbox backward-compatible titles to PC for the first time. Industry observers note the move aligns with reported plans for the next-generation Xbox, codenamed Project Helix.
