Angola Sends Specialists to France for ANGEO-1 Satellite Training
Five GGPEN professionals will pursue master's degrees at ISAE-SUPAERO to support the operation of Angola's first Earth observation satellite.
Angola has dispatched five specialists from the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) to France for advanced technical training. The initiative builds the domestic expertise required to operate ANGEO-1, the nation's first dedicated high-resolution Earth observation satellite.
Under a contract between GGPEN and Airbus Defence and Space, the selected professionals will enroll in master's-level programs at ISAE-SUPAERO. The multidisciplinary curriculum focuses on Systems Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. This academic and practical immersion is a core component of a broader knowledge transfer agreement intended to ensure that the technical capabilities for the satellite's lifecycle remain within Angola.
