IBTM World 2026 Scales Tech Hub to Showcase AI Event Innovation

IBTM World 2026 is expanding its Event Tech & Services area to accelerate the adoption of AI and immersive technologies in the meetings industry. Organized by RX Global, the event takes place November 17–19 at the Fira Gran Via venue in Barcelona.
This edition features an ecosystem of over 100 startups and 15 investors, focusing on digital platforms designed to optimize attendee experiences. A central highlight is the "AI for Events – Demo Day LIVE" on November 19. Delivered in partnership with Boldpush, the showcase features practical AI applications from ten selected companies: Advcy, CueForge, Event Flow App, Event Labs, Exhibitly, ExpoBooth, Highbar, Magipic, Memnto Photo, and uchop. Other confirmed technology vendors include Swoogo, vFairs, EventsAir, and ACS Audiovisual Solutions.
The Push for Personalization
This expansion follows the 2025 debut of IBTM Ignite, which hosted 80 startups. The organization is scaling its technology focus to address growing industry demand for demonstrable event impact and highly personalized attendee journeys. According to Claudia Hall, director of IBTM World, while technology is fundamental to meeting these needs, the primary challenge for organizers remains identifying which specific tools provide genuine value.
