Radiance Technologies Joins $14 Billion MSIC Missile Intelligence Contract

Huntsville-based Radiance Technologies has been selected as an awardee on the Contract Operations for Missile Evaluation and Testing (COMET) Multi-Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). This selection positions the firm to support the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC) at Redstone Arsenal for the next decade.

The COMET contract carries a total ceiling exceeding $14 billion and runs through January 2037. Under the MATOC structure, selected firms will compete for individual task orders over the life of the agreement. Radiance Technologies will operate in a multifaceted capacity, leading its own team while also holding positions on two additional teams—one led by SAIC and another through its Radiance Ignite Technologies joint venture.

Technical Scope and Mission

The contract is divided into five primary operational areas: foundational and technical intelligence analysis, foreign materiel exploitation, IT operations, modeling and simulation, and business processes. These functions support the MSIC, a component of the Defense Intelligence Agency. The MSIC is tasked with the critical analysis of foreign weapons systems, including ballistic missiles and anti-satellite weaponry, to provide essential intelligence to U.S. weapons developers and policymakers.

Strategic Implications

This award establishes a long-term revenue pipeline for Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned firm founded in 1999 that currently employs more than 1,200 people. By securing a role in the COMET vehicle, the company reinforces its standing within the national security intelligence community. The work places Radiance at the center of U.S. military efforts to evaluate and counter advanced foreign weaponry through the research, development, and sustainment of technical intelligence systems.

Future Outlook

As the contract moves forward, the focus will shift to the competition for specific task orders within the $14 billion ceiling.
