One primary initiative is a partnership between the Fresh Start Women's Foundation, Intel, and Mesa Community College (MCC). Together, they have established a free, 10-day hands-on workforce development course. The program is specifically designed to prepare women for entry-level technician roles, providing the foundational skills necessary to enter the semiconductor manufacturing pipeline without the barrier of tuition costs.
The Rise of the Silicon Desert

The state is seeing a massive influx of capital, most notably from TSMC, which is investing $165 billion in the region and expanding its footprint to three fabrication plants, known as fabs.
