Kelington Group Wins US$105 Million Semiconductor Deal in India

Kelington Group Bhd has secured a major contract to provide critical infrastructure for a semiconductor wafer fabrication facility in Gujarat, India. The deal marks a significant expansion for the Malaysian engineering firm into one of the world's fastest-growing technology markets.

Through its subsidiary, Kelington Engineering (S) Pte Ltd, the company was awarded a contract valued at US$105 million (approximately RM413.7 million to RM414 million). The project involves the delivery of a turnkey gas distribution system, a specialized requirement for the high-precision environment of chip manufacturing. This project serves as a cornerstone of India's broader efforts to build domestic semiconductor capabilities.

The Push for Domestic Chips

Kelington Group specializes in ultra-high purity (UHP) systems, providing the integrated engineering solutions necessary to transport the volatile and precise gases used in wafer fabrication.
