NVIDIA Debuts DLSS 5 in NBA 2K27, Shifting AI Focus to Neural Rendering
The latest DLSS iteration moves beyond frame rates to enhance real-time lighting and materials via 3D-Guided Neural Rendering.
NVIDIA has officially launched DLSS 5, marking a fundamental shift in how AI renders game worlds. The technology makes its first official appearance in NBA 2K27, introducing a capability known as 3D-Guided Neural Rendering.
Unlike previous versions of Deep Learning Super Sampling that focused primarily on resolution upscaling and frame generation, DLSS 5 uses AI to actively enhance visual fidelity.
