Samsung has increased prices for its advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes by up to 15% starting in July. The move comes as a surge in demand for AI-capable chips fills the company's production lines.

Price adjustments primarily target the 4nm (SF4), 5nm (SF5), and 8nm nodes. The impact varies by region; customers in the U.S. and China face the steepest increases for the 4nm SF4 process, with prices rising between 10% and 15%. In contrast, customers based in Taiwan saw a more moderate increase of 5% to 10% for the same 4nm process. Beyond the 4nm line, wafers on the 5nm SF5 process have risen by 10% to 15%, while the 8nm node has seen a price increase of nearly 10%.
