Cursor partners with AWS, NVIDIA and McKinsey to standardize enterprise AI coding stack
The new Benchmark Partners Program aims to move large organizations toward an agentic software development life cycle.
Cursor has launched the Benchmark Partners Program, a strategic alliance with six industry leaders designed to accelerate the adoption of AI-native development in large organizations. The initiative provides enterprises with a referenceable AI adoption stack to facilitate the transition to an agentic software development life cycle (SDLC).
The cohort consists of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Databricks, McKinsey & Company, NVIDIA, and Snowflake. The program is structured around three functional pillars: AI transformation and adoption led by BCG and McKinsey; context and governance managed by Databricks and Snowflake; and accelerated cloud and deployment supported by AWS and NVIDIA. This framework serves as the first step in a broader strategy to scale AI productivity and production deployment across the enterprise sector.
The shift to agentic workflows
As companies move past initial AI experimentation, the primary obstacles to scaling have shifted from tool availability to the complexities of organizational change, data governance, and infrastructure. Cursor is positioning its AI-native code editor as the center of a new "agentic" workflow, which requires a supporting ecosystem of consultants for change management, data platforms for context, and cloud providers for compute.
Matthew Kropp, Managing Director and Senior Partner at BCG and Chief AI Officer at BCG X, noted that success in agentic software development depends on changing how engineering teams operate rather than simply deploying new tools. Similarly, Snowflake SVP of Engineering Vivek Raghunathan emphasized that enterprise context is the "real unlock" for AI coding agents, stating that Snowflake provides the governed data, business logic, and permissions necessary for agents to be trusted in production. NVIDIA Vice President Pat Lee added that Cursor is already being used across NVIDIA's engineering environment to accelerate development.

This program signals a pivot in the AI coding market, moving the focus from individual developer productivity to systemic, enterprise-wide adoption.
