In a significant expansion of its public sector footprint, Kainos has secured a £50 million, three-year contract with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). As the DDAP Enablement Partner, the company will lead the evolution of the Defence Data Analytics Platform (DDAP), focusing specifically on AI innovation and data analytics. Brendan Mooney, CEO of Kainos, described the agreement as a privilege that will drive forward how data analytics is utilized across UK defence.
Beyond the MoD, the company is applying AI to citizen-facing services. Kainos is deploying AI-enabled assistants as part of a Government Digital Services (GDS) initiative. This project aims to streamline the citizen experience by replacing nearly 200 disparate government accounts with a more integrated system.
