SEOUL—Okestro Group officially unveiled its "Okestro 4.0" strategy at OPUS 2026 on July 28, 2026, announcing an AI Transformation (AX) of the entire software lifecycle that the company says has boosted development productivity 10.6-fold.

CEO and CTO Young-kwang Kim introduced GenDev (젠데브), a platform integrating operational data with generative AI. The approach automates repetitive development tasks while reserving planning and judgment for human engineers.

"Repetitive development is for AI, and humans are for planning and judgment," the company stated.

According to Okestro, the development stage alone achieved 28.6-fold productivity gains compared to the previous version. The company is pursuing an AI Full Stack strategy to maintain competitiveness as the industry shifts toward AI-driven operations.

Okestro, which specializes in cloud management platforms (CMP), is transitioning from traditional cloud orchestration to this AI-integrated approach. The company aims to reduce time-to-market for cloud solutions and establish new benchmarks for AI-integrated development workflows.

By automating routine coding tasks and allowing engineers to focus on higher-level architectural decisions, Okestro positions GenDev as a solution to accelerating delivery without compromising quality.

In a separate business development, Okestro is pursuing an Initial Public Offering with a target after 2028, according to company statements at the event.

The Okestro 4.0 strategy encompasses the entire software lifecycle, from development through technical support. Integrating operational data with generative AI enables the system to learn from real-world usage patterns and apply those insights to future development cycles.

Industry observers note that the 10.6-fold productivity increase, if validated at scale, would represent one of the most substantial efficiency gains claimed in enterprise software development. The approach reflects broader industry trends toward AI-assisted coding, though Okestro's claims exceed typical productivity improvements reported by competitors.
