Olimex has released the Neo6502kbd, an all-in-one open-source hardware variant of the Neo6502 retro computer. By integrating core computing components directly into a keyboard chassis, the company has eliminated the need for separate peripherals to get a retro system running.
The Neo6502kbd features a W65C02 processor paired with a Raspberry Pi RP2040 SOC equipped with 2MB of Flash memory. According to Olimex, the hardware includes four USB host ports, an HDMI output, and a UEXT connector designed for WiFi expansion. For connectivity and power, the device is equipped with two USB-C connectors: one dedicated to the power supply and another for programming. The hardware is released under the CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 - Strongly Reciprocal.
