Armenian high school students achieved their best-ever team result at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), held August 2–8, 2026, in Astana, Kazakhstan. The delegation secured two bronze medals in the individual contest and a top-five finish in the robotics challenge.
Aram Amirkhanyan and Razmik Yepremyan each earned bronze medals in the individual competition. Beyond these accolades, one of Armenia's teams placed fifth in the Galbot robotics challenge, a significant leap from the 16th-place finish the country recorded in 2025. The Armenian delegation consisted of two four-member teams selected through a national process organized by the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST).

This performance follows Armenia's debut at the IOAI in Beijing in 2025, where Aram Amirkhanyan won the country's first-ever individual bronze medal.
