Specifically, the HCC Coding and Risk Adjustment tool utilizes Amazon Textract for optical character recognition (OCR) and leverages Claude models via Amazon Bedrock for the large language model (LLM) extraction of ICD-10-CM codes. To ensure oversight, the platform includes a comprehensive coder and auditor review workflow that supports chart assignment and detailed change-log auditing.
