Garmin has announced the Fenix 9 series—comprising the Fenix 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro Solar—launching August 28, 2026. The new lineup marks a significant shift in material durability and display technology for the company's premium outdoor smartwatch line.
The Fenix 9 Pro introduces a substantial leap in visibility with an AMOLED display that reaches 3,000 nits, exactly twice the 1,500 nits found on the Fenix 8 Pro. The device also moves away from the durable polymer cases used in previous generations in favor of a full titanium watch case. Storage has doubled from 32GB on the Fenix 8 Pro to 64GB on the Fenix 9 Pro. The device is offered in 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm sizes; the largest model features a 1.5-inch display, a 15% increase over the 1.4-inch screen of its predecessor.
