CEVA Logistics Pilots Zelostech Autonomous EVs at Singapore Blue Hub
The logistics leader is deploying Z10 autonomous electric vehicles to automate internal inventory transport at its high-density urban distribution center.
CEVA Logistics has launched a pilot program at its Blue Hub facility in Singapore, deploying two Zelostech Z10 autonomous electric vehicles (AVs). The initiative marks a strategic move to integrate next-generation automation into the hub's internal distribution workflow.
The deployed Z10 vehicles are tasked with intra-hub operations, specifically the autonomous transport of pallets, totes, and other inventory. According to confirmed reports, these AVs navigate the facility's layout, utilizing the building's ramp infrastructure to move goods across different floors. The pilot focuses on replacing manual transport of heavy inventory with electric, self-driving alternatives to streamline the movement of goods within the site.
The Blue Hub Infrastructure
The pilot takes place at the Blue Hub, an eight-story distribution center spanning 50,000 square meters. Designed for omnichannel and e-commerce distribution, the facility serves as a flagship for state-of-the-art automation. The hub already incorporates advanced technologies, such as automated inbound depalletising systems, to handle the high volume of goods required for modern retail. The current AV project originated from the 2025 CMA CGM Startup Awards, an initiative co-organized by ZEBOX, reflecting the parent company's broader strategy to scout and implement emerging tech.
Implications for Urban Logistics
This shift toward fully autonomous internal logistics is particularly significant for high-density urban distribution centers where space is at a premium. By transitioning to electric AVs, CEVA Logistics aims to increase operational efficiency and enhance safety by reducing the reliance on manual labor for heavy lifting. Furthermore, the use of electric vehicles aligns with broader industry goals to reduce carbon emissions within the supply chain, transforming the warehouse from a manual cost center into a high-efficiency automated node.
Future Outlook
As the pilot progresses, the industry will be watching to see if the Z10's performance justifies a wider rollout across other CEVA facilities. While the current focus remains on the Blue Hub's specific ramp and floor architecture, the success of this integration could provide a blueprint for other urban hubs facing similar spatial constraints. It remains to be seen how these autonomous systems will scale as e-commerce volumes continue to fluctuate and the demand for faster turnaround times increases.
