Anker Launches MindBase AI Hub to Centralize Smart Home Ecosystem
The new hub combines local LLM processing and massive storage to reduce cloud reliance and subscription fees.
Anker has announced MindBase, an AI-powered smart home hub designed to unify connectivity and computing across its diverse product lines. Unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin, the device serves as a centralized intelligence layer for Anker's security, energy, cleaning, and audio ecosystems, while also supporting third-party devices.
The MindBase hub is engineered for high-capacity local management, featuring 64GB of built-in eMMC storage. To accommodate heavy data loads, such as high-resolution security footage, the hardware includes two storage bays supporting 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives, allowing for expansion up to 48TB. On the connectivity front, the hub is equipped with dual Ethernet ports and three USB ports, with the capacity to manage up to 20 cameras and 34 sensors simultaneously. To ensure broad compatibility, Anker has integrated support for Matter, Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa.
A Strategic Ecosystem Shift
This launch marks a significant evolution for Anker, which has transitioned from a manufacturer of charging accessories into a comprehensive ecosystem provider. By leveraging its existing brands—including Eufy for security and cleaning and Soundcore for audio—Anker is now attempting to bridge these disparate product lines.
