DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Hits Global Markets as US Ban Persists

DJI has expanded the global availability of its Osmo Pocket 4P vlogging camera to markets including Europe, Canada, and Australia. The rollout marks a significant hardware leap for the series, though the device remains unavailable in the United States due to ongoing FCC bans on foreign-made drone and camera equipment.
The Pocket 4P introduces a sophisticated dual-lens system designed to move beyond the limitations of a single wide-angle view. It features a 20mm wide-angle main sensor utilizing a 1-inch CMOS (f/2.0) paired with a 60mm medium-telephoto lens (1/1.28-inch sensor, f/1.8), which provides 3x optical zoom. This layout allows creators to capture distant subjects with clarity that digital cropping typically destroys.
On the performance side, the camera supports 4K video at up to 240FPS in horizontal mode, while vertical recording is capped at 3K. It is capable of capturing 37MP still images and offers 17 stops of dynamic range with 10-bit D-Log 2 for professional color grading. The hardware is supported by 103GB of internal storage, a 1545mAh battery providing approximately 210 minutes of life, and USB 3.1 wired transfer speeds reaching 800 MB/s. The device is available in Pearl White and Classic Black.
