Motorola has officially launched the Edge 70 Max, a high-end smartphone designed to eliminate battery anxiety for power users. The device arrives as the most feature-complete model in the Edge 70 series, combining massive energy reserves with the latest in wireless charging standards.

At the center of the device is a 7,100mAh battery, a capacity that significantly exceeds the industry average for premium flagships. To manage this cell, Motorola has implemented 90W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. Notably, the Edge 70 Max is the first in its series to integrate Qi2.2.1 magnetic wireless charging directly into the chassis, allowing for a secure, magnetic connection to chargers and accessories without the need for external cases.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. This processing power is matched by a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display featuring a 1440p (QHD+) resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals. Beyond internal specs, Motorola has prioritized physical resilience, securing MIL-STD-810H certification to ensure the device can withstand drops and harsh environmental conditions.

The Edge 70 Max sits atop a diverse lineup that includes the Edge 70, Fusion, Pro, and Pro+ models. By bundling a military-grade build with a battery of this scale, Motorola is attempting to carve out a specific niche for "ultra-endurance" flagships. This strategy addresses two primary consumer frustrations: the inconvenience of imprecise wireless charging and the need for frequent daily charging cycles.

Confirmed as available in European and Indian markets, the device has already arrived at GSMArena for detailed review. Pricing is set at €750 in Europe, £700 in the UK, and INR 59,999 in India.
