Multilogin has released an open-source agent that enables AI to manage social media accounts using authentic Android cloud phones. The move marks a significant shift in automation, moving beyond browser spoofing to leverage real mobile hardware environments.

The tool, known as multilogin-cloud-phone-agent, connects AI agents to Android cloud devices via the Android Debug Bridge (ADB). This integration allows AI to view the device screen, perform taps, type text, and execute complex tasks as if a human were interacting with a physical phone. According to the project's documentation, the agent is "agent-agnostic," meaning it is compatible with a variety of existing AI development tools, including Cursor, OpenClaw, and Claude Code.

The Shift to Mobile Hardware

Multilogin has long specialized in anti-detect browser solutions, which allow users to operate multiple accounts by masking digital fingerprints to prevent them from being linked. However, social media platforms have increasingly deployed sophisticated detection systems specifically for mobile applications. These systems can often distinguish between a simulated browser environment and a genuine mobile device.

By shifting the automation layer to real Android cloud phones, Multilogin aims to bypass the limitations of traditional browser-based automation. Using authentic hardware environments makes it substantially more difficult for platforms to identify automated activity, as the traffic originates from a legitimate Android OS and hardware profile rather than a spoofed software instance.
