Samsung has introduced the ISOCELL HPC, a 200MP flagship mobile image sensor designed to maximize light capture in high-end smartphones. The sensor debuts "DeepPix" technology, a fundamental redesign of the pixel structure intended to improve HDR, low-light performance, and zoom consistency.

The ISOCELL HPC features a resolution of 200 megapixels, consisting of 16,384 x 12,288 pixels. Technical specifications confirm the sensor has a physical size of 1/1.3 inches with an individual pixel size of 0.6μm. A primary hardware highlight is the integration of DeepPix technology, which Samsung reports increases Full Well Capacity (FWC) by 60% compared to the previous generation. In practical terms, this allows the sensor to hold more charge per pixel before saturating, resulting in cleaner images in challenging lighting environments and more natural-looking HDR.
