Xiaomi Debuts Massive 'Human x Car x Home' Ecosystem at IFA 2026

Xiaomi has made its formal debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin, launching its largest standalone overseas exhibition to date. The showcase signals a strategic pivot from a smartphone-centric business to a comprehensive AI ecosystem provider.
Occupying approximately 3,300 square meters in Hall 6.2, the company displayed more than 380 products, technologies, and AI applications. The exhibition was organized under the "Human x Car x Home" strategy, spanning smartphones, home appliances, robotics, and electric vehicles. While the scale of the event was vast, the center of attention was the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The new foldable phone, presented in a red color option and powered by a proprietary XRING O3 chip, was kept behind glass as a teaser for an official unveiling scheduled for the following week.
A Shift Toward Integrated AI
This expansion comes as Xiaomi aggressively targets the European market by integrating its hardware into a seamless, proactive automation experience. The company's strategy relies on custom silicon and AI to link vehicles and home appliances through its HyperOS. To support this transition, Xiaomi announced plans for a global R&D investment exceeding 24 billion euros between 2026 and 2030.
"This year's IFA marks a significant milestone in Xiaomi's global journey," said Xu Fei, CMO of Xiaomi. "Over the years, we have expanded from smartphones into smart home and smart vehicles, while investing deeply in foundational technologies, including AI."
Challenging the European Guard
By showcasing such a broad portfolio, Xiaomi is positioning itself to challenge established leaders like Samsung, particularly in the high-stakes foldable phone segment and the integrated smart home market. The company is no longer merely selling individual gadgets; it is attempting to market a fully automated lifestyle infrastructure. This ambition was further highlighted in the "AI Tomorrow" section of the exhibition, which featured the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo hypercar concept.
