The artisan produced the faceplates using three distinct types of stone: Sahara Noir, Roman Travertine, and Statuario marble. The Statuario piece is particularly notable, as it was sourced from the Carrara quarry basin—the same region where Michelangelo selected the marble for his most famous works. To ensure the plates are durable and practical for a consumer electronic device, each marble slab is cut to a thickness of 5–6mm and bonded to a 3D-printed faceplate.
