Healthy Pictou County has expanded its 360° Virtual Reality Hub to include two new immersive experiences designed to recruit medical staff. The initiative now offers virtual tours of the Aberdeen Regional Hospital’s Operating Room (OR) and the Orthopedic Assessment Clinic.

Developed in partnership with 360Lab, the VR Hub creates high-fidelity videos that allow prospective healthcare workers to explore clinical environments remotely. According to reports from 989 XFM and SaltWire, the expansion is part of a broader strategy to showcase the region's facilities and community to candidates who may be considering a move to Nova Scotia.

The project is funded by the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment (OHPR) Community Fund.
