Nissan and Honda have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly develop software and electronic components for their future vehicle lineups. The collaboration is designed to accelerate the transition to software-defined vehicles (SDVs) while reducing the massive financial burden of independent development.

The partnership focuses on the creation of standardized core electronic control unit (ECU) components and the software required to run them. By aligning their technical architectures, the two manufacturers aim to reduce development costs, shorten development cycles, and improve overall production efficiency.
