Founded by students from Trinity College Dublin, ProvenMetal provides a standard 7-business-day turnaround for PCB assembly without charging expedite fees. To achieve this speed, the company has automated the primary administrative bottlenecks that typically slow down production, including quoting, design review, and procurement. By keeping the entire process within the United States, the service removes the customs delays and shipping lags associated with East Asian fabrication.

The Reshoring Challenge

For two decades, the electronics industry has shifted heavily toward East Asia, leaving American hardware developers dependent on complex international supply chains. While there is a broader movement to reshore critical infrastructure, the domestic market for rapid prototyping and small-batch assembly has historically remained expensive and slow. This gap has forced many engineers to choose between the cost-efficiency of offshore production and the speed of local work, often resulting in weeks of downtime during critical development phases.
