While this price point represents a specific entry-level strategy for the 2027 model year, it currently secures the lowest starting price for any full-size electric truck on the market. The Silverado EV now stands as the primary budget-conscious alternative to higher-priced competitors, including the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, and GMC Sierra EV.
A Shift in Strategy
The market landscape has changed rapidly as early pioneers of the electric truck era are phased out in favor of next-generation platforms. Ford's decision to discontinue the F-150 Lightning is part of a broader strategic pivot.
